Capital City Freeze Tournament

The Springfield Youth Hockey Association cordially invites you to join us for the Capital City Freeze Hockey Tournament in Springfield, Illinois!

The tournament is held annually and features teams from all across the mid-west who travel to the centrally located Capital City of Illinois for a high level of competitive tournament play, in addition to the wide range of off-ice entertainment options. Previous year's tournaments have featured over 350 players, 60 coaches, and 20 teams hailing from Chicago, St. Louis, and beyond.

  • Deposit $600 at the time of registration and the remaining due on 10/13/2023.

CCFT 2023 Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer opportunities are available during the Capital City Freeze Tournament 2023. Below is a list of the available opportunities and will count towards the season required volunteer hours. Signup link coming soon.

- Auction Table/Puck Sales- Team baskets CCFT pucks. Help with collecting money and filling out raffle papers.

- Greeters- Two volunteers set up on each rink. The volunteers will help direct the teams to locker rooms, handing out packets (game schedule, local restaurants/things to do), and they will also have blank scoresheets. Team managers will provide their team stickers and the scorekeepers will come pick them up from the table before the game.

- Scorekeepers- Will pick up the scoresheets from the greeter’s table. Ensure the team roster sticker is placed on the blank scoresheet. After the game, have both team coaches, referees, and scorekeeper must sign the scoresheet, and turn them into Bob Muench after the game.

- Timekeepers/Clock - Instructions are in each box. Training to be scheduled.
