SYHA Team Managers Registration

This registration is for all Team Managers within the SYHA organization. This includes all roles for ADM, Tier 1 & Tier 2 Recreational Hockey, and Travel Teams.

📌 USA Hockey Important Requirements:

USA Hockey Registration:

• All Managers must register with USA Hockey annually.
• This is an annual registration.
• There is no coast to register as a Volunteer.

USA Hockey Safesport:

• All Team Managers must complete Safesport Training to be added to the team roster.
• Safesport Training and Refresher Training are valid for one year only.

USA Hockey National Background Screening:

• All Team Managers must complete Background Screening
• Cannot be added to the team roster until background check has cleared.
• Background check is good for two years.
• Cost is $30.

Note: USA Hockey is unable to accept background screens from other sports.

Team Manager Responsibilities

The Team Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Schedule declaration and regular season games with Missouri Hockey for the assigned team.
• Coordinate all home game volunteers, including:
• Locker room monitor
• Score clock operator
• Scoresheet official
• Penalty box attendant
• Music coordinator
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Head Coach, team parents, and the team.
• Act as the financial liaison between the Team Treasurer, team families, and SYHA.
• The Team Treasurer will assist with collecting funds for tournaments, team dinners, and other approved team expenses. All collected funds must be documented using the provided financial tracking form. This form will be shared with the Team Manager and the SYHA Treasurer/VP of Finance for transparency and oversight.

Scheduling and Financial Tracking

Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel will be used for all team scheduling and financial tracking.
