SYHA Volunteer Registration

This registration is for Coaches, Team Managers, Team Treasurers, and all other Volunteers within the SYHA organization. This includes all roles for ADM, Tier 1 & Tier 2 Recreational Hockey, and Travel Teams.

✅ Registration is FREE.

📌 Important Requirements:

• All Coaches and Team Managers must first complete their USA Hockey Registration for the current season at the USA Hockey website before completing this SYHA registration.
• Team Managers register with USA Hockey at no cost.
• Coaches register with USA Hockey for a minimal fee.
• When registering with USA Hockey, please be sure to select MISSOURI as your state.

I. Who Needs SafeSport Training or a USA Hockey Screen

The following chart includes the different categories of members and whether they are required to complete SafeSport Training and/or a Background Screen.

The chart also list the Participants that are required to have SafeSport Training and/or a Background Screen before the Participant is allowed to have regular contact or authority over Minor Athletes (including all practices and team meetings).

· Before completing SafeSport Training or a Background Screen, all members must first register with USA Hockey for the current season at: https://membership.usahockey.com/

· To complete a USA Hockey Background Screen, please go to www.usahockey.com/backgroundscreen

Note: USA Hockey is unable to accept background screens from other sports.
